Symphony Hall Birmingham

Comedy, sense of humour or the lighter side of life should always be part of your everyday.

And when I noticed Milton Jones was appearing at the Symphony Hall Birmingham, there was no hesitation in making sure I would be there.

His sense of humour  tends to consist of, cleverly quick witted one liners, Which I must admit were  hilarious.

The English language is a fascinating and fabulous tool which can be used in so many ways and comedy being one of the better options.

The Irish heritage I posses tends to ere towards the lighter side of life.

Have you ever wondered how many emotions men have?

Men have two emotions Horny or Hungry. If he isn’t horny make him a sandwich.

And never argue with ugly people, they have nothing to lose.

And there’s more to follow . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Happy Valentine’s Day

Wishing you Happy Valentine’s Day,.

Now,it may be you are going to(or you already have)purchased the most gorgeous gift for that special person in your life. And you may now be wondering just what to write in that special Valentine.s Day card.

Those words could be:

I’m not Fred Flintstone, but i can make your Bedrock.

I think i’d miss you even if we’d never met.

You’ve been the Apple of my eye.,

You know how much i care.

So Lettuce get together we’d make a perfect Pear.

Now something’s sure to Turnip.,

To prove you can’t be Beet.

So,if you Carrot all for me.,

Let’s let our Tulips meet.

Don’t Squash my hopes and dreams now,

Bee my Honey dear,

Or tears will fill Potatoe’s eye.,

While Sweetcorn lends an ear.

I’ll Cauliflower shop and say.,

Your dreams are Parsley mine.

I’ll work and share my Celery.,

So,be my Valentine.

Q)What did the painter say to his wife?

A)I Love You with all my ART.

And then:

The following may or may not be relevant to you;

Don’t wait for the one you can live with,

Wait for the one you can’t live without.

You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.

The art of Love is largely the art of persistence.

Love, like a river will always cut a new path whenever it meets an obstacle.

Kindness in words creates confidence,Kindness in thinking creats profoundness,Kindness in giving creates love.

Enjoy Valentine’s Day !!!!!!!!

And if you are a 365 Romantic,thats much,much better x x

Happy Chinese New Year

A new year in the Chinese calander, the year of the snake.Fireworks play a huge part in this tradition with at least 260,ooo boxes of fireworks sold and they are it is said to ward off evil spirits. The giving of a red envelope containing an ammount of money which is still upheld,as this symbolizes ‘good luck’. The ammount generally within one of those envelopes would end with an even digit ie.,28,188 etc., as odd-numbered money gifts are associated with funerals.

Moving on. . . . . . .

Recalling a previous post where i mentioned a fab restaurant where you could savour and enjoy  Chinese/Cantonese cuisine,

It is of course,Chung Ying, which has a brilliant menu, fantastic atmosphere combined with excellent service.Based within the Chinese quarter in  Birmingham.

Chung Ying is ideally  locasted within  2 minutes  of  the  Birmingham Hippodrome.

Therein is a reminder that The Phantom of the Opera is well worth a visit  between  13th March – 4th May 2013(although i have already seen this stunning show in London)And it is of course showing at the Hippodrome.

Not long now!!!

Not long now NEW PICS are with my web designer with request to add to galleries.

I have also requested that each one is ‘water marked’.As with past experience it seems the case certain individuals think they can use my pics to their benefit.Oh no,no,no they cannot.

Anyone who has met with Helen will know how organised she is,also not  forgetting, fun to be, a chic sexy style and a sensual aura.

And yes, have requested pics to be added in a certain order, purely for you!

As mentioned in previous post the photo shoot was a fantastic day from begining to end.

Enjoy the sunshine today and especially your weekend x x

Not only but also:

Your train journey,consider this:

A notice you would not see in a train station:

We are taking the scenic route to Barking on the District Line.We will be stopping at all stations to Barking,with the exception of Cannon Street.This train does not stop there on Saturdays due to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

the total lack of interest!

A train announcement you would never hear:

“Hello, this is the captain of your Uxbridge train speaking,we will be departing shortly. Please note we will be cruising at an altitude of zero feet, and our scheduled arrival time in Uxbridge is 11.15pm.The temperature in Uxbridge is a cool 10 degrees celsius and Uxbridge is in the same time zone as Aldgate,so there’s no need to adjust your watches.”

This may be a conversation you may hear at the train station, tongue in cheek!!

Mr Smith says to the station master.

“What’s the use of having a timetable ,if trains never stick to it”?

“Well sir”,replied the station master ”how would you know the trains were running late,if not for the timetable”?

And that ’Was the week that was’!!

With best wishes to Lakeside Taxis . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Contact via telephone 07955 302342

When considering to meet contact via telephone is preferrable to email.

Leaving a message on voicemail system  is also advisable on occassions,as i may be otherwise engaged ………………………..at the gymn or horseriding or  a little retail therapy or .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And the reason for this post is:

To point out that calling or leaving a message on voicemail system is received much faster at times than an email.

Look forward to your call.

Quiet and Exclusive

Quiet and exclusive with a mix of classic and contemporary, words which aptly describe this hidden gem.Works of art lined the walls of the entrance/lobby.With a view over the Imperial Gardens(Cheltenham)Five stars in every respect.

Were you to favour one or two of the original works of art it was also possible to purchase.

Glowing  reviews from:

The Sunday Times Travel Magazine,The Good Hotel Guide,TimeOut London,Michelin Guide 2012,The Guardian and

The Telegraph.

I would so love to enter the name of this paticular hotel, but feel the exclusivity gives it the appeal to ensure more than one visit is a must.

The surrounding area, the michelin starred restaurants and the Cotswolds on the doorstep makes it one of the most enjoyable UK destinations thoroughly enjoyed with   - – - -  who was and is an utter gentleman at all times.

The weather may be changeable in the extreme yet good friends never change and the gentleman/friend mentioned(a name is not relevant,as discretion is paramount at all times)was a pleasure to be with for the two days/evenings we both thoroughly enjoyed.Enjoying a similar sense of humour, the fabulous surroundings, the fine dining.

Not forgetting our private time . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Gong Xi Fa Ca

Gong Xi Fa Ca - Wishing you prosperity in Mandarin. Or Happy New Year -Kung Ha Fat Choi

The Chinese New Year started today Monday 23rd January.

The year of the DRAGON

Born during the year of the Dragon your character is said to be:

Self-Assurred,intellectual,passionate,confident,hard working, full of energy, determined and will inspire other people. They do not like routine, are excited by new projects, show loyality to friends, are popular and fun loving.

What fantastic traits to have.

Not wanting to sound familiar to a lecture regarding Chinese culture, here are a few fun loving jokes to start your week.

Chinese couple in bed.He says “I want a sixty-nine”.

She says “You want beef and broccoli now?”

Why are hurricanes named after women?

They’re wet and wild when they come and take your house when they leave.

What’s the difference between a g-spot and a golf ball?

A man will spend 20 minutes looking for a golf ball.

A neutron goes into a bar and asks the bar tender “How much for a beer?”

The bartender replies “For you,no charge”

What do eskimos get from sitting on the ice?

Why does the Iraqi Navy have glass bottom boats?

So they can see their Air Force.

2012 Wishing You Your Best Ever Year

You may read or hear more than once, those three little words ‘Happy New Year‘  wether via an email, within a blog,in a letter or phone.

Two words:New and Year are quite obvious to all.

Yet ’Happy’ has an entirely different meaning to each and every person.

Happy to one person could be: that fantastic holiday you had always promised yourself.

It can also mean:

Seeing a smile on the face of someone you haven’t seen for a while.

Continue to support your chosen charity.

It could mean knowing your health is in tip top condition.

And of course there are many other reasons, which are too numerous yet still as important as the above to each individual.

Hence the title of this post:2012  Wishing You Your Best Ever Year,in straightforward translates to:

I wish you Your Best Ever Year in 2012 which in turn will bring you much happiness.

To each person i have met as yet(and to those whom i am still to meet)2012 is i hope for you all you are wishing for and more.

Taxi arriving in a short while, off to enjoy New Years Eve x
