This particular post has been prompted after reading headlines/article within a daily tabloid.
The gist of the article stated that ‘true gentlemen no longer exist’
I beg to differ ‘True Gentlemen Do Exist’ ie., Gentlemen who are:Courteous,Polite,Respectful.Who have the ability to converse on a variety of subjects. And who(often)suggest an afternoon shopping trip( www.frenchconnection.co.uk www.reiss.co.uk www.selfridges.co.uk Selfridges having the most fantastic instore choice-Level 4 to be precise-which includes concessions such as Hobbs, L.K.Bennett, Diannne Von Furstenburg etc.,) ,a relaxing day touring the Cotswolds,Weekend visit to London-The Goring Hotel etc.,etc.,
Reassuring to know and let it be known that ‘True Gentlemen Do Exist’
Return visit to Bath confirmed – Fantastic!! The cultural background and stunnng architecture.

Anticipating on arrival:Afternoon tea,a dainty sandwich combined with a fabulous cup of Earl Grey.Later:The Dower House restaurant, which has been quoted as one of the best,if not the best restaurant in Bath.
A taste of the menu:To Begin:Guinea Fowl-Corn Fed Guinea Fowl,Foie Gras & Wild Mushroom Ballotine,Fennel & Radish Salad,Warm Truffle Dressing- To Follow:John Dory-Pan Fried Fillet of John Dory,Caramelised Diver Scallop,Buttered Seabeet,Bouillabaisse Emulsion – To Finish:Mango & Passion Fruit-Tasting of Mango & Passion Fruit,Coconut Foam-Followed by:Coffee and Petits Fours.
For anyone who has never sampled John Dory-this is the most delicious of all fish. With firm succulent white flesh, which is on a par with Turbot.
Day 2:A leisurely breakfast etc.,etc.,- Lunch -sightseeing- After pure indulgence a visit to the fully equipped gymnasium within the hotel ,then relax and enjoy the holistic treatments to sooth and relax after a work out.Onto dining at The Dower Restaurant sampling more delicious delights from their extensive menu
Beautiful, relaxed surroundings, good company and the friendliness which can always be found in the South, just brilliant!!!!
In celebration of the patron saint of Ireland St Patrick March 17th is on the horizon.Wether you are Irish/part Irish or otherwise it is a day to enjoy the ancestoral links. As William Butler Yeats once said”There are no strangers here;only friends you haven’t yet met” Associated with St Patrick is the shamrock, which he used to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagens.
The first St Patricks Day Parade took place in the United States in the mid 17th century. In 1948 President Truman attended New York Citys Parade,a proud moment in Irish history.
Irish are of course famous for their fantastic sense of humour.Being part Irish here are a few lines which may raise a smile or two!!
Question:How come every time you ring a wrong number it’s never engaged?
Man went for a job at the local stables and the farmer said “Can you shoe horses?” The man thinks for a minute and then says “No,but once i told a donkey to get lost.”
Oscar Wilde: Some cause happiness wherever they go.others whenever they go.
Recently visited Central Manchester and what a refreshing time was had.Lunch at the Gaucho, www.gauchorestaurants.co.uk delicious and different. The friendliness, the surroundings and even the weather were all outstanding.Stayed over at The Lowry Hotel, www.thelowryhotel.com ideally placed in the heart of the city.A repeat visit will certainly happen.
