Horseracing:Royal Ascot – 15th – 19th June,

Newmarket – July Festival 7th/8th/9th

York Ebor -Four day festival 17th/18th/19th/20th August-One of the highest rated horses in the world has graced this course,notably Sea The Stars  .

Tennis:Wimbledon – 21st June – 4th July,

Golf:British Open – St Andrews  – 15th – 18th July,

Senior Open Championship-Carnoustie 22nd – 25th July -those taking part include Sir Nick Faldo,Mark James,Bernhard Langer,Sam Torrence,Ian Woosnam,Tom Kite,Tom Lehman and Gary Player.

P.G.A Championship – 12th – 15th August.

The 2010 Ryder Cup – 1st – 3rd October,

Rugby League:Challenge Cup Final 28th August.
