Snow,snow and yet more snow,oh my goodness.

Still,Christmas Eve is well and truly here (common knowledge to all )and tis the season to be jolly.

Imagine celebrating your birthday today 24th December,how fantastic!!

Happy Birthday to Carol Vorderman.

Stylish with a sophisticated aura,yet not seeming to have a domineering presence.

She grew up in Leeds,U.K

Her father being Dutch and Mother  being Welsh.

A member of MENSA with an IQ of 154.

In 2000 she was awarded an M.B.E.

A lady with many goals still to achieve,notably through 2011.

Such as:

Learning to ski,complete a scuba diving course,to get her pilots licence,ballooning in Switzerland.

Back to Christmas:

The anticipation of opening presents,cooking the huge turkey etc.,etc.,

The first part of the above sentence being ideal,yet the second part ie., cooking  the turkey.I must admit i would always try to avoid.Allowing someone else the pleasure.

Cooking is not my forte,but this may well change.

During this year i happened upon a fantastic hotel in Winslow,Bucks.

Which specialises in cookery courses and yes i am in the throes of planning at least 2 visits to this hotel.

Whilst gaining core culinary skills ie.,Fish and shellfish dishes,which include sauces and garnishes.,

also

An Italian Cookery Course,authentic dishes,with flavourful Italian produce.

Yes,you may have guessed i do enjoy Italian food(avoiding pasta)

There are 2 Italian restaurants within Birmingham which i could highly recommend and 3 within London which are of a slightly higher standar.

French cuisine is also a favourite of mine and again i discovered (along with Mr. L)a French restaurant which was a hidden gem and will not mention it here,allowing it to remain so.
