Not alot of people know this-Oh, yes they do,Oh no they don’t- you know you want to smile-after all,it is pantomine season)
Did you know that Birmingham has been twinned with Frankfurt for over 40 years – interested – yes of course you are.
This being the tenth year that Birmingham has the pleasure of the Frankfurt Christmas Market, situated in Victoria Square and New Street. And will be there until Thursday 23rd December 2010,open each day from 10am-9pm.
I decided to visit on Sunday 21st November(in the knowledge i would then be somewhat close to the Town Hall to meet with Mr S at 7pm to enjoy our evening immersed in the pleasure of Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony .
The visit to the Christmas Market was magical, arrived late afternoon.
With over 180 stalls, which included original jewellery, handmade christmas gifts and if you were wanting a little something to keep the colder temperature at bay,Gluhwein(German mulled wine)would be just the ticket for you.
And then onto. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Town Hall Birmingham,
A perfect day
ps:Mr S Christmas present will not be opened until Christmas Day-promise x x
